Job Description

As an Industrial HVAC Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC, mechanical, and facility systems to minimize equipment downtime and support production goals. Working with minimal supervision, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose complex equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial HVAC systems and mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning systems, pumps, agitators, hydraulic systems, vacuum systems, and related mechanical components.
• Service and maintain RO/DI purified water systems and compressed air systems to support production and facility operations.
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently using a CMMS-driven maintenance program.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues involving electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct repairs and adjustments on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including installation and replacement of components as needed.
• Support industrial maintenance activities and machine repair tasks to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Work with minimal supervision while prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on equipment, including when operating aerial or scissor lifts at elevated heights.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending and implementing maintenance best practices.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections clearly and thoroughly in maintenance records and work orders.

Essential Skills

• Three years of maintenance experience in one of the following trades or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience: Industrial HVAC, Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC repair, service, and preventive maintenance in commercial or industrial environments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience working with air conditioning systems, pumps, agitators, hydraulic systems, and vacuum systems.
• Ability to maintain and repair RO/DI purified water systems and compressed air systems.
• Ability to read, understand, and complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order management and maintenance tracking.
• Capability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
• Willingness to work overtime when required to support operations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of safety and quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC experience, including installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and industrial HVAC systems.
• Experience with machine repair in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with a wide range of facility systems.
• Solid electrical skills related to HVAC and mechanical equipment service.
• Ability to participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing equipment issues.

Work Environment

You will work on a corporate campus that includes multiple commercial buildings and manufacturing facilities, supporting a variety of industrial HVAC and mechanical systems. The environment is fast-paced and operations-focused, with access to advanced maintenance technologies and equipment, including CMMS tools and aerial or scissor lifts for elevated work. You may be required to work overtime to meet operational needs, and you will spend time both in manufacturing areas and commercial facility spaces, following established safety procedures and standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
