Tissue Allograft Distribution Supervisor

Job Summary Own the end-to-end distribution pathway for human tissue grafts: inventory accuracy, storage integrity, shipping logistics, and customer responsiveness. Supervise and develop Distribution Specialists while maintaining FDA/accreditation compliance and strong relationships with clinical and vendor partners. Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Licenses and Certifications: Drivers License – required to possess a valid Texas Drivers License, pass an MVR check, and complete driver training (or van training, if applicable), in accordance with UTS Policy 157, appendix B. Upon Hire. Preferred Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred. Job Duties Directs, coordinates, monitors and evaluates allograft/xenograft/autograft storage and distribution functions. Recruits, selects, and supervises appropriately qualified staff to perform distribution functions, including allograft/autograft/xenograft acquisition, storage, inventory and distribution. Provides guidance, instruction and direction to Distribution Specialists in performance of day-to-day operations of distribution functions. Performs and/or coordinates training, competency and development of staff involved in distribution functions. Coordinates duties and schedules of staff performing distribution functions. Establishes distribution program objectives and goals; directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and approves schedule, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, FDA regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies and procedures. Recommends new policies and procedures and/or revisions of current policies and procedures for improvement of distribution functions. Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal departments and external organizations to include surgeons, surgery schedulers, tissue vendor representatives, couriers, and shipping companies. Establishes and maintains contracts with tissue/xenografts vendors and medical facilities for distribution functions. Provides information to Accounting for tissue invoicing; assists with resolving Accounting issues related to tissue distribution. Performs duties of Distribution Specialist as needed, including functioning in an on-call capacity for distribution functions. Provides assistance and coordinate communication with other department functional units as needed. Performs other duties as required.
