Registered Nurse - ICU (MICU)

Location: Dallas, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Weekend Rotating)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in patient care for critically ill patients and possess the ability to operate a variety of ICU equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MICU based on acuity and skills.
• Utilize all ICU equipment including ventilators, cardiac output monitors, and other critical care devices.
• Perform procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis cath placements, cardioversions, intubations, and various other ICU-related tasks.
• Ensure proper documentation using the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MICU or MSICU.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Active RN license in Texas (temporary licenses are not accepted).
• CCRN certification is preferred.
