Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly / Production Support)

Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly and production operations in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing processes while working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily manufacturing and assembly operations.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, ergonomics, and efficiency.
Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing standards.
Develop assembly layouts, tooling, fixtures, and process controls.
Work with ERP/MES systems to support manufacturing processes.
Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
Experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality, Reliability, or Design Engineering.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with engineering tools, databases, and manufacturing systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

Experience with MES and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Knowledge of assembly processes, shop floor documentation, and process controls.
Experience with smart tooling, automation, digital manufacturing, or process improvement initiatives.
Understanding of line balancing, workplace ergonomics, and visual management tools.
Experience in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.

Work Environment

100% onsite role.
Primarily 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), with flexibility for overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
Significant time spent on the shop floor supporting production teams.
Must follow all required safety and PPE guidelines.
