Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Job Description Job Description We are hiring Maintenance Technicians for immediate openings on 2nd and 3rd shift with a food packaging company in Elgin. This is a direct hire, full time position. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping production running. Equipment requires constant attention, so we are looking for someone strong in troubleshooting and repair. What you will be doing: Troubleshoot and repair packaging and production equipment Perform preventative maintenance and handle breakdowns during production Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Set up and adjust packaging lines Support production with equipment issues Equipment: Form fill seal machines, Hayssen, Matrix, Bartelt, Ropak Cartooning machines and packaging lines What we are looking for: Maintenance experience in manufacturing or packaging Strong troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical Able to respond quickly to equipment issues Bilingual Spanish is a plus Reliable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Work environment: Production floor Standing most of the shift Some lifting up to 50 lbs.
