Addictions Counselor

We are seeking an Addictions Counselor for a contract position in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves working onsite, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times. The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction treatment, including treatment planning and crisis intervention.

• Experience with addictions, including treatment planning and assessments.

• Proficiency in documenting client progress and handling crisis situations.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a treatment team.

• Strong communication and ethical conduct skills.

• Experience with case management and client-focused care.

• Familiarity with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.

• Must hold the required credentials for the role.

• Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's degree in a related field such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling.

• Certification such as PCACB, CAAC, CADC, or CAADC preferred.

• Bachelor's degree holders must have one year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency.

• Associate's degree holders require three years of experience.

• Practicum or work experience in a drug and alcohol setting is preferred.

• Plan for achieving counseling competency if lacking specific experience in chemical dependency.
