General Manager

The Personnel Consulting Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager / Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for our mechanical contractor client in Thibodaux. In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, leading project and field teams, managing P&L, and ensuring the high-quality delivery of our plumbing services. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, sharp financial acumen, and a proven track record in construction or mechanical services operations. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Oversee daily business operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope. Financial Performance: Manage the branch budget, optimize resource allocation, and monitor P&L to drive profitability. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop office and field staff to foster a high-performing team culture. Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategic initiatives to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency. Client & Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution. Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to company safety protocols, OSHA standards, and local building regulations. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 5+ years of operations or general management experience, specifically within plumbing, or commercial construction. Leadership: Proven ability to manage field operations, and labor scheduling. Financial Acumen: Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking project metrics. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and conflict-resolution skills in a fast-paced environment.
