NURSE PRACTITIONER – FUNCTIONAL & WELLNESS MEDICINE

POSITION SUMMARY

A confidential, high-performing healthcare wellness practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its growing team. This role blends clinical excellence with preventative and functional medicine , empowering providers to build meaningful patient relationships while delivering measurable health outcomes.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic care , including conducting medical histories, performing examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing comprehensive treatment plans under the supervision of a physician—allowing physicians to focus on complex cases.

This position operates within a relationship-driven, consultative care model , emphasizing long-term wellness, patient education, and health optimization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Clinical Duties

• Patient Assessment & Diagnosis:
  Conduct comprehensive physical exams, obtain detailed medical histories, and diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
• Treatment Planning & Implementation:
  Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
• Diagnostic Testing:
  Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Preventative Care & Patient Education:
  Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and long-term health strategies, including management of conditions such as:
• • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
• Specialized Care Delivery:
  Provide services across:
• • Functional medicine
  • Hormone optimization & thyroid management
  • Peptide therapy
  • Preventative and wellness-focused care
• Care Coordination:
  Collaborate with physicians and refer patients to specialists as needed, ensuring continuity of care.

Secondary & Operational Duties

• Confirm patient understanding that care is being delivered by a Nurse Practitioner
• Collaborate regularly with supervising physician on delegated services and care protocols
• Maintain all required licenses and certifications with up-to-date documentation
• Complete patient charting in a timely and compliant manner
• Support both insurance-based and cash-pay wellness models

PATIENT VOLUME & ENVIRONMENT

• Manage 20+ patients daily in a fast-paced, high-demand setting
• Deliver care in a modern, wellness-focused clinic
• Operate with high autonomy while collaborating with an experienced clinical team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NEGOTIABLES)

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with active licensure
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• 3–5+ years of clinical experience
• Functional Medicine Certification
• Proven experience in:
• • Hormone optimization
  • Thyroid management
• Strong diagnostic, clinical judgment, and patient management skills

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Experience in:
• • Functional medicine
  • Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)
  • Weight management or peptide therapy

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $110,000 Base Salary + Quarterly Performance Incentives

• Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• No weekends; light administrative half-day midweek
