CVICU Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those recovering from open heart surgery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced critical care environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Prior CVICU or cardiac critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive drip management
• Familiarity with ventricular assist devices (VADs) or intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs)
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a high-acuity environment
