Job Overview

We are seeking an organized, dependable and detail-oriented individual to lead our daily warehouse, inventory control and shipping operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and dispatching goods, managing inventory, conducting final visual inspections, accurately labelling products and maintaining full product traceability.

An important part of this role involves using our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system to manage inventory transactions, maintain accurate stock records and ensure full traceability of products throughout the receiving, storage and dispatch processes.

Exceptional attention to detail is essential for this position. Our products are precision-manufactured components supplied to customers with strict quality requirements. Accuracy in inspection, inventory management, documentation and shipping is critical.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Dispatch

• Receive incoming deliveries, checking quantities, product identification and documentation against purchase orders.
• Accurately book goods in and out using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for domestic and international shipment.
• Arrange shipments with carriers, including UPS, FedEx and other logistics providers.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing lists and associated documentation.
• Verify part numbers, quantities and product identification before dispatch.
• Ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Quality Control & Product Inspection

• Conduct final visual inspections of finished products prior to dispatch.
• Identify visible defects, damage, incorrect labelling or other product discrepancies.
• Ensure products meet required quality and packaging standards.
• Report non-conforming products and quality concerns to management.
• Handle precision-manufactured components carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
• Follow established quality control procedures and maintain accurate inspection records.

ERP & Inventory Management

• Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to accurately record and manage daily warehouse transactions.
• Book incoming goods, outgoing shipments, stock transfers and inventory adjustments within the ERP system.
• Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Perform regular stock counts, cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Investigate and report discrepancies between physical stock and ERP inventory records.
• Maintain accurate product information, including part numbers, quantities, storage locations and lot/batch numbers.
• Ensure full lot/batch traceability of products throughout the warehouse process.
• Accurately label and identify EDM brass tubes and other products in accordance with internal procedures.
• Verify product sizes, quantities, part numbers and lot numbers before storage or dispatch.
• Maintain organized stock locations and ensure all products are correctly stored and identified.

General Warehouse Operations

• Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment.
• Follow established operating procedures and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase warehouse accuracy and efficiency.
• Work closely with the operations, production and quality teams.
• Assist with stock replenishment and general inventory movements.
• Support additional warehouse and operational activities as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential

• Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, shipping or logistics environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to accurately count, identify and record stock.
• Good computer literacy and confidence using ERP or inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and understand part numbers, product labels and shipping documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise requirements.
• Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including standing, walking and lifting items safely.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Preferred

• Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Knowledge of lot/batch traceability and inventory control procedures.
• Experience preparing domestic and international shipments.
• Previous experience performing visual quality inspections.
