Emergency Medicine Physician in Presque Isle, ME

Position Overview Full‑time emergency medicine physician practicing at Northern Light AR Gould Hospital in Presque Isle, Maine. The ED handles approximately 13,000 visits annually and offers 24‑hour physician coverage with 12 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage each day. Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, evidence‑based patient care on an on‑call basis, including initial evaluation, stabilization, and disposition of emergency department patients. Participate in daily multidisciplinary team rounds, collaborations with surgical, medical and pediatric teams, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies. Qualifications Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine. Medical degree from an accredited institution and successful completion of residency training in emergency medicine. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a cooperative team structure.
