Overview Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT) – Cambridge, MA Start date: 08/31/2026 • Contract length: 13 weeks • Travel - Temporary Assignment Weekly pay: $2,657–$2,768 • Guaranteed hours: 40 per week • Shift: Rotating, with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts (examples: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM; 10:00 PM–6:00 AM; 1:45 PM–10:15 PM) Setting: Hospital-based respiratory care unit • Employer: Healthforce Healthcare LLC Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,657–$2,768 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, 1:45 PM–10:15 PM) Start date: 08/31/2026 Location: Cambridge, MA Responsibilities Provide respiratory care to acutely ill patients per physician orders, including evaluation and ongoing monitoring Operate and adjust mechanical ventilation and noninvasive ventilation as prescribed; manage oxygen and humidification therapies Administer inhaled medications, airway clearance techniques, and suctioning per protocol Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience preferred) Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and respond to respiratory distress or code situations Maintain equipment, follow infection control standards, and provide patient and family education on therapies Requirements Active Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (MA RRT license) at time of submission NBRC-registered RRT credential required Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for this assignment Current American Heart Association BLS certification 1+ year of acute care respiratory therapy experience Flu vaccine required during the season; EPIC EMR experience preferred Driver’s license with address matching demographics Up-to-date resume; 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in the same specialty; Skills checklist RTO (time off) must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation Locals within 50 miles accepted; local rate may apply Benefits and Support Assignment coordination and 24/7 recruiter support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC Credentialing and onboarding assistance to streamline start Potential extension or renewal opportunities based on performance and department needs Support with scheduling and administrative tasks related to the travel assignment Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
