Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a part-time Museum Aide. The primary role of a Museum Aide is to provide excellent customer service and wayfinding for patrons visiting the museum.

Duties will include:

• Greeting and checking in visitors utilizing the museum's point of sale software
• Answering questions regarding museum programs and exhibits
• Ensuring all museum standards and safety protocols are followed
• Regular exhibit cleaning and care of hands-on elements throughout the galleries

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be available: Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sundays 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Seasonal hours, including occasional evenings and special programming may impact scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:


Previous work experience with customer service responsibilities, including cash handling through point of sale software, is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move throughout the museum galleries and pick up objects that fall on the floor.
• Must be comfortable working with cleaning sanitizer and associated cleaning materials.
• May have extended periods of standing or sitting between two to four hours.

Work Hours:
21-24 average work hours per week up to 29 hours per week. Must be available Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sundays 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
