Salary Range The salary range for this position is $34.50 - $55.20 hourly. Placement within the range depends on experience and internal equity; union positions follow collective bargaining agreements. Benefits

Description The Staff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s code of ethics and corporate compliance, and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, guidelines and regulatory standards. A clinically competent, registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process. The nurse interacts effectively with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice. Hours 3 pm – 3 am with an every third weekend rotation. Responsibilities Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress. Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of aides involved in direct patient care. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and ancillary staff; create documented plans focused on outcomes and decisions related to care and delivery. Participate in shared governance, committee work and unit projects. Evaluate and document patient responses to interventions, and individualize the plan of care based on findings. Utilize the best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions. Qualifications Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Strong interpersonal, analytic, and collaboration skills Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day of employment.
