Partnering With A Mechanical ContractorWe're partnering with a well-established, employee-owned mechanical contractor that is expanding its preconstruction team. The company delivers large-scale commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional projects and is seeking experienced HVAC and Plumbing Estimators to support upcoming work.This opportunity is suited for an estimator with a commercial mechanical contracting background who enjoys working on complex projects, developing competitive bids, and collaborating with preconstruction and operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed HVAC and/or plumbing estimates for commercial construction projectsPerform material and labor takeoffs, cost analysis, and conceptual budgetingManage estimating and bidding from initial review through final proposalDevelop estimates for design-build, design-assist, and plan-and-spec projectsAttend pre-bid meetings and job walks to evaluate project scopeReview drawings, specifications, subcontractor pricing, and bid documentsIdentify value engineering opportunities and potential cost savingsCoordinate with preconstruction leadership, project managers, and field teamsReview contract scopes, price change bulletins, and assist with project budgets and schedules of valuesRequirementsCommercial HVAC and/or plumbing estimating experience; 5+ years strongly preferredExperience estimating for a mechanical contractor or specialty subcontractorAbility to perform detailed takeoffs and develop accurate labor and material estimatesFamiliarity with design-build, design-assist, and plan-and-spec projectsExperience with estimating software and digital takeoff tools; Trimble AutoBid preferredExperience with healthcare, high-rise, industrial, laboratory, institutional, or other complex commercial projects is a plusStrong Excel skills and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlinesStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsCompensation & BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays, sick leave, and vacationLong-term career growth and advancement opportunities
