Job Description As a Security Officer in Whitsett, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, support a welcoming environment, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities using required systems and documentation methods. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
