Job Summary
We are hiring a dependable Janitorial / Building Maintenance Technician to support the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our facility. This role combines routine janitorial responsibilities with general building maintenance and seasonal outdoor work.
Responsibilities
Janitorial Duties:
- Empty trash and maintain waste areas
- Clean shop floors and production areas
- Clean and sanitize office spaces, bathrooms, and break rooms
- Operate floor scrubber and other cleaning equipment
Maintenance Duties:
- Perform general building maintenance, painting and minor repairs
- Assist with after-hours maintenance needs
- Maintain facility cleanliness and organization
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete weekly/bi-weekly dump runs
- Assist with snow removal and ice melt application
- Maintain outdoor areas and facility grounds
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (or willingness to learn)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 2nd Shift (approx. 10 AM - 8PM Tues -Fri or similar)
Daytime hours with flexible schedule options
Stable, full-time position with a local Des Moines company
Opportunity to work with a variety of manual machining and welding processes
