Our Elder Service Plan has two medical and day centers in Mattapan and Brockton, MA and cares for more than 550 participants. To help further the mission of Harbor, we are looking for an extremely talented Pharmacy Manager to join our team.Harbor Health offers an excellent, comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, & Disability insurance, 403b Savings Plan, Generous Paid Time Off plus 11 additional Holidays and much more!The Pharmacy Manager for the Elder Service Plan/PACE Program is responsible for the overall daily operation of the in-house PACE pharmacy including but not limited to: filling of prescription medications, purchasing, preparation and distribution of medications, clinical collaboration with the Clinical Pharmacy team, interacting with medical staff, appropriate/timely submission/reconciliation of prescription drug claims, management of drug inventory and 340B compliance and complying with all State and Federal regulations.Home base for this position will be at the Geiger Gibson Community Health Center Pharmacy located at 250 Mt. Vernon Street in Dorchester. Responsibilities:Oversees the timely and accurate delivery of services to customers by ensuring pharmacy is properly staffed with certified employees and stocked with appropriate inventory.Interviews, hires, and properly trains of all pharmacy staff.Responsible for the supervision of ESP/PACE pharmacy technicians, pharmacy technician trainees and staff pharmacists as needed.Ensures all pharmacy staff (pharmacists, interns and technicians) licenses are current and in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.Ensures Pharmacy Technician Trainees fully adhere to all requirements for technician registration as outlined in Board of Pharmacy regulations 247 CMR 8.03.Prepares employee work schedules and evaluates work performance for all staff.Ensures the overall safety and security of the pharmacy which includes pharmacy keys, alarm codes, etc.Works collaboratively with administration and clinical care teams to provide the best quality care for patients.Oversees all activities related to dispensing medications.Ensures strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures; adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations.Ensures the proper documentation of controlled substances including perpetual and biennial inventories.Maintains 340B compliance and training for the pharmacy.Prepares weekly and monthly pharmacy reports.Oversees the implementation and documentation of drug recalls through established policy and procedures, which are followed in a timely manner, including documentation, and required detailing the disposition of such drugs. During emergency operations may be required to report to work or remain at work.Requirements:Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)A current, valid, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of MassachusettsCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers) Certification3 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic providing pharmacy services or in a retail pharmacyPACE (Program for all Inclusive Care for the Elderly) or Long Term Care pharmacy experience a plusOne year of experience as a direct supervisor of pharmacy techniciansBasic to intermediate skills in Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and TeamsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
