Azure Data Engineer (MS Fabric is must have)

Job Title: Azure Data Engineer (MS Fabric is must have)
Location: Lansing, MI or Detroit (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Position
Experience: 10+ Years
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize T-SQL, Python, and PySpark code.
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
- Design and maintain data models using Medallion architecture.
- Develop solutions using Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Warehouse and Spark.
- Use GitHub for source control.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve development productivity.
- Support Power BI semantic models and reporting needs.
- Mentor junior team members.
Required Skills
- Overall 10+ years of exp
- Strong experience with T-SQL.
- Proficient with Python or PySpark.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric Pipelines or Azure Data Factory.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling.
- Working knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 data modeling and integration methodology.
- Basic understanding of AI-assisted software development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Power BI semantic models and enterprise reporting.
- Exposure to CI/CD practices and deployment automation.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading technical team members.
