Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Current State License as a Physical Therapist in Missouri required to start the assignment.
• Proof of current CPR certification required.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance required. Must be able to travel locally for home health visits.
• 1-2 years experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting required.
• Previous home health experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical demands of the role including heavy lifting, bending, pushing, prolonged standing and walking.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program required.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Home Health.
• Shift Name: Other.
• Assignment Type: Travel.
• Assignment Duration: Temporary contractor assignment beginning April through July.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Perform assessments, develop and revise Plans of Care, provide neuromuscular, neurological and orthopedic treatment, instruct patients and families in transfers and equipment use, order and adapt DME as needed, and document progress and phone orders.
• Collaboration: Work as part of an interdisciplinary team and consult with physicians as needed.
• Travel Requirement: Must travel locally to patient homes. Reliable transportation required.
