Sr. Drainage Engineer

The Impact Youll Make:

• Responsible for the development of highway and interstate drainage and stormwater improvement projects.
• Direct and/or perform drainage engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
• Direct and/or develop plans specifications reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project staff other disciplines and sub-consultants Florida Department of Transportation and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Manage and maintain project documentation including meeting project schedules budgets and scope
• Responsible for client development and fostering a relationship with clients
• Lead and/or assist in proposal scope of work and fee schedule preparation
• Attend on-site and off-site client meetings throughout North Carolina

Qualifications :

The Expertise Youll Bring:

• 8 years of drainage design experience required
• North Carolina PE is required
• BSCE is required
• NCDOT drainage design experience required with competence in Microstation Open Roads Designer ICPR v3/v4 ASAD and other stormwater modeling software
• Experience in engineering projects to be able to analyze project progress to be in conformance with project budgets quality scope of work client and sub-consultant issues is a plus but not necessary
• Able to prepare or assist in the preparation of proposals score of work and fee schedules is a plus but not necessary
• Able to prepare or assist in the preparation and maintenance of client reporting such as status reports and other writing or verbal communications to the client is a plus but not necessary
