Tool Repair Technician

Industrial Services Tool Repair TechnicianWorking as Full-time Industrial Services Tool Repair Technician, you will be involved with the overall success of the department by efficiently repairing and quoting a wide range of power tools, including Electric, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic. You will be working on a variety of tool manufacturers, including most major national brands. Having a customer focus and attention to detail in a very fast paced and productive department is necessary to be successful in this position. Some travel may be necessary to complete manufacturer-authorized training. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Processing customer power tool repair work ordersQuoting repair costs on a wide variety of power toolsRepairing a wide variety of power tools in a timely mannerCommunicating with Fastenal branches and vendorsFollowing all International Standardization Organization (ISO) quality proceduresComplying with safety regulationsThe following skills and qualifications are required for this position:18 years of age or olderExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient computer skillsDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgencyMechanically inclinedHighly motivated, self directed and customer service orientedLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentWork independently as well as in a team environmentWillingness to work a flexible scheduleWillingness to travel for trainings and customer visitsDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamworkLift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbsPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
