Vehicle Management Systems Hardware Engineer

Salary: $112,200 - 151,800 per year Requirements:

• We require a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or related fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
• For a Level 3 experienced role, we expect 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, or 3+ years of relevant experience with a masters or PhD.
• We prefer prior experience with Vehicle Management Systems.
• We prefer prior experience in supplier management.
• We prefer MSOSA/MBSE knowledge.
• We prefer candidates with an active Secret Clearance or higher.
• This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, and U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
• An interim Secret Clearance before start and final Secret Clearance after start are required.
• We require a U.S. Person as defined by export control regulations.

• Bachelors degree or equivalent is required.
• Education and experience should come from advanced technical study in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, with ABET accreditation preferred but not mandatory.

• We translate customer requirements into system architecture, hardware design, and interface specifications while maintaining traceability across the product lifecycle.
• We define the test and validation strategy to confirm system designs meet operational and functional needs.
• We troubleshoot integration and sustainment issues across hardware and software life cycles.
• We evaluate emerging technologies to shape future product concepts and support internal business strategies.
• We monitor supplier performance to ensure system integrity and compliance with requirements.
• We coordinate suppliers, test labs, and cross-discipline engineering teams to deliver on schedule and within cost targets.
• We resolve issues with fielded hardware throughout the full product lifecycle.
• We develop and document moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements, hardware designs, and interface specifications.
• We test and validate solutions to confirm compliance with operational and functional requirements.
• We assist in monitoring supplier performance to support integration and requirements compliance.
• We research new technology advances for possible application to our business.
• We analyze solutions to support continued product operation throughout the lifecycle.
