Where You Will Work The Southshore Community Hospital’s Level IV trauma unit (17 monitor beds) treats patients with emergent and critical needs. The unit is high‑volume and fast‑paced, and seeks experienced, communicative nurses committed to high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (consideration for newly licensed RNs with EMT, paramedic, or ED externship experience) Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation Responsibilities Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team. Promote patient safety by implementing risk‑reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Educate patients and families , adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting discharge readiness. Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum. Lead and delegate effectively , fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance. Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance.
