This regional position is ideal for drivers looking for a stable operation with a strong mix of drop-and-hook freight, modern equipment, and the opportunity to maximize weekly earning potential.
Drivers on this account haul intermodal container freight and can expect a minimum of 1,800 miles per week, with top performers running up to 2,800 miles while maintaining regular home time. With a high percentage of drop-and-hook freight, newer automatic equipment, and a supportive operations team, this account provides the consistency and stability professional drivers are looking for.
Compensation and Benefits- Average $65,000 per year
- Holiday pay available after one year of service
- $190 holiday pay for:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
- Independence Day
- Drivers are not required to work holidays
- Paid Time Off accrual begins immediately
- Consistent year-round freight
- 1+ years: 10 PTO days annually
- 6+ years: 15 PTO days annually
- 14+ years: 20 PTO days annually
- Home weekly
- Dedicated intermodal freight account
- Minimum expectation of 1,800 miles per week
- Top drivers may run up to 2,800 miles per week
- Approximately 75% drop-and-hook freight
- Approximately 25% live load/unload freight
- 100% container and chassis freight
- Small percentage of refrigerated freight
- Consistent freight volumes year-round
- Mid-roof conventional tractors
- Automatic Freightliner and International trucks
- Average fleet age of approximately 2.5 years
- Modern, well-maintained equipment
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
- Strong safety record
- Professional and dependable work ethic
- Ability to operate safely in a regional environment
- 1 to 2 weeks of training
- Hotel accommodations provided during training
- Drivers living within 50 miles of the terminal may be required to park equipment at the account
- Parking procedures vary based on driver domicile location
