Sam's Club #6371 14050 Worth Ave Woodbridge, VA 22192-4121 Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What You’ll Do Team Leader – supervise the team in Produce and Floral areas to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club. Communicate goals of the department and execute company programs, adhering to policies and advocating for the member, the associate and the company. Expert – maintain in‑depth knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, ensuring the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance. Manage seasonality in terms of item volume, product knowledge, processes and timing between areas; collaborate with associates to ensure resources and training. Techie – leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality. Owner – drive business results, maintain operational excellence, ensure profit planning, and a neat, clean, safe work area. Maintain adequate staffing, audit and compliance, and display merchandise per layout plan. Talent Ambassador – teach and train the team for high‑quality products, identify potential for growth, encourage career development, and source new talent internally and externally. Promote compliance – implement policies, procedures and standards, support ethical behavior, and assist management with corrections of compliance issues. Collaboration – participate in teams, share resources, determine customer needs and business priorities, coordinate assignments, provide feedback and support schedules. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Successful completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period, if hired. Preferred Qualifications Supervising a team.
