GCP Data Engineer

Consultant (GCP Data Engineer) needed for Orabase Solutions, LLC. located in McKinney, TX. Will perform cloud data engineering using Google Cloud Platform, including Big Query, DataProc, and Cloud Storage. Will travel as the need arises to provide services at various future unanticipated client worksites throughout the US. Will design, develop, and maintain large-scale data engineering solutions on cloud and distributed systems. Will build and optimize data pipelines that ingest, process, transform, and deliver structured and unstructured data. Will develop batch, micro-batch, and streaming workflows using distributed processing frameworks. Will perform ETL/ELT pipeline development and data integration across multiple systems. Will engage in data modeling using Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault. Will work within data lake and lakehouse environments using Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg. Will program and script using Python, Java, and SQL. Will offer workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow. Will perform CI/CD automation using Jenkins and GitHub.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, math, business, or engineering and 5 years of overall progressive IT experience which includes 5 years of experience in the skill sets listed above. Must be willing to travel and relocate. Educational equivalency may be met by a combination of degrees. Minimum salary of $156,998.00.
