Maintenance Technician

Overview BECO Asset Management, LLC is currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team servicing apartment communities in Suffolk, VA. This position is ideal for a hands‑on professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining high‑quality residential communities. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs Complete work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents (unit turns), including painting, repairs, and cleaning Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of an on‑call rotation (includes nights/weekends—generous call pay provided) Maintain the overall cleanliness and condition of the property’s physical assets and grounds Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies Collaborate with the Community Manager and other team members to provide excellent resident service Qualifications 2+ year of experience in apartment or residential maintenance preferred Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry HVAC certification is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) Available for night and weekend on‑call duty Must be organized, self‑motivated, and able to prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism and customer service Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required What We Offer Competitive compensation Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays Professional development and educational assistance Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employer‑matched 401(k) Plan Please watch: Application Requirements Applicants must have a stable work history, strong professional references, and the ability to successfully pass a background check and a 4‑panel substance screening.
