Job Description
Labor & Delivery RN

Schedule

Weekends required: Yes - 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Assignment Details

Orientation: 24 hours. Number of rooms: 15.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Patient ratio experience: 1:1.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with fetal monitoring, labor management, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Charting system: Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery processes including vaginal delivery and C-section assistance.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to abnormalities.
• Handle obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia.
• Provide neonatal stabilization and resuscitation.
• Administer medications and therapies as needed.
• Perform IV starts and sterile vaginal exams.
