The school serves more than 475 students at our Kay and Robert Schattner Center Campuses – the beautiful South Campus for Early Childhood students in Grades PK-1, and the newly renovated and expanded North Campus for Elementary and Middle School students in Grades 2-8. Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School is searching for a Math teacher for our Elementary Students who is able to begin in January 2025. Duties and Responsibilities Inspire a love of math in students through teaching. Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instruction in a manner that facilitates active, student-centered learning using various teaching methods such as discussions, group activities, and occasional lectures. Work with students to encourage and facilitate each individual’s growth. Collaborate actively with math department colleagues, including on curriculum and course planning. Keep attendance records; manage student behavior in the classroom and maintain a positive educational environment for all students. Work in an organized, dependable, patient, and creative manner. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with previous experience teaching math at the Upper School level. Ability to communicate, motivate, and understand the students’ educational and emotional needs.
