Caregiver - Assisted Living Community - Shifts with Overtime!

Caregiver Position

Responsible for assisting residents with their daily living activities and other care needs, as directed by the Executive Administrator and members of the Care Operations team. We seek a self-motivated, compassionate, responsible, and energetic individual to help foster a positive and supportive environment for our residents. The ideal candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to a work environment that requires frequent shifts in direction. Caregivers should have excellent communication skills with an expectation to clearly and timely express resident changes and concerns to the Executive Administrator.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Assisting residents with self-administration of medications.
• Engaging residents with activities.
• Documentation/communication of resident's activities, ADLs, and changes.
• Preparing and serving meals according to the menu, with modifications for dietary needs.
• Performing housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting individuals with dementia.
• Ensuring resident confidentiality.

Qualifications include:

• Criminal background clearance (Required by State)
• Caregiving: 1 year experience in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Home Care or other direct care experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work with older adults, including willingness to work with those with behavioral challenges
• Experience with dementia care and Hoyer lifts is a plus
