Job Title: Customer Service Representative (Contract) Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm Location: Taylor, MI 48180 Pay Range: $28$32/hr, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders received via EDI and email using ERP systems
- Review, update, and adjust orders as needed
- Work with production planning and shipping teams to ensure timely, complete deliveries
- Address customer requests, concerns, and disputes regarding product supply and commercial issues
- Develop and update customer recovery plans for late orders
- Produce and analyze reports to support customer needs, KPIs, and business goals
- Escalate customer issues to leadership when guidance is needed
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to troubleshoot and improve processes
- Follow established customer service and ERP policies/procedures
- Build and strengthen relationships with internal teams, logistics partners, and customers
- Communicate accurate, timely information to all stakeholders
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and observe all safety protocols
- Demonstrate company core values throughout daily interactions
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years' experience in customer service (automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier experience strongly preferred)
- Practical knowledge of ERP systems; QMS experience is a plus
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Effective time management and adaptability
- Able to perform physical job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
