Job Title

Position can be fully remote. Open to nationwide search however, worker must be able to work PT business hours. If candidate is located in LA, they can report to the office once a week if they choose to. The candidates must be flexible to accommodate working after 10pm PST when needed. Position is temp only with possibility of extension based on performance, budget and business needs. Primarily work on coordinating with business owners and technical owners to migrate applications to new Windows servers. Will need the ability to troubleshoot web applications and console applications developed in house as well as vendor solutions during testing in lower environment and as well as implement into production and provide hyper support. Work with end users on day to day production issues and provide solutions for issues. Involves deep diving into code and databases as well as logging into servers and desktops to troubleshoot issues. Analyze existing production console applications, web applications, web services Develop a plan for migrating existing production applications to newer environment. Reverse engineer existing legacy production applications Recompile legacy .NET applications to more current, supported.NET version Implement upgraded application to newer environment Resolve production errors after migration Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting of all production issues Create, update and maintain production support documentation. (job steps, recovery procedures) Turn over documentation to respective support teams for future support.

Skills: 9-12 Years Experience Will work with a high degree of autonomy and without direct supervision. Often presented with solely a problem or limited set of requirements and are expected to determine detail requirements and solution alternatives. Frequent and routine contact with vendors, peers, managers, other Technology staff, Business clients. Development skills with.NET, VB.NET, C#, Classic ASP, VB Script, Javascript Ability to read code and understand what happens without having to execute the code Solid knowledge in MS SQL Server, SQL, SSRS, SSIS Experience developing console applications, web application, web services Well verse using and setting up applications in IIS. Familiar with using and setting up components in Component Services. Experience troubleshooting production issues in the production environment without lower environments Set up applications with no packages on a server or no documentation. Experience navigating Windows servers and modifying registry settings. Work with other teams to Troubleshoot issues. Coordinate testing with Business unit. Middleware configuration, administration and support

Education: B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred. Will typically have at least 7 years experience, including large enterprise experience. May have one or more technical or professional certifications.
