Job Description
Nuestro Mundo Community School is seeking a dedicated and proactive Behavior Interventionist to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers, administrators, and the school social worker to help maintain a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment for all students. Responsibilities include: responding to behavior calls and assisting with de-escalation and crisis intervention; supporting students in developing appropriate behavioral and social skills; assisting in the implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs); providing in-class support and coaching for students who need additional behavioral guidance; collaborating with teachers and staff to promote positive behavior strategies; and helping maintain a safe and respectful school climate.
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a school or youth setting; strong behavior management and de-escalation skills; ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in challenging situations; strong communication and collaboration skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; associate's or bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
