Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant About the Opportunity A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the accounting functions for multiple operating entities, performing full-cycle accounting responsibilities and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple business units or locations. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Prepare, review, and post general ledger journal entries. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Analyze financial results and investigate budget-to-actual variances. Generate and reconcile payroll-related accounting entries. Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules. Prepare financial reports and support management with financial analysis. Review financial data for accuracy and identify opportunities for process improvements. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. Experience performing bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations. Experience supporting month-end close activities. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
