Groundskeeper - 1st Shift

Job Title Groundskeeper - 1st Shift Position Overview Position Objective: The Industrial Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the exterior grounds of industrial and commercial facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and professional appearance. This position performs routine landscaping, lawn care, and grounds maintenance tasks while following safety standards and company procedures. Essential Duties: Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas Prune shrubs, trees, and plants as needed Perform weed control, mulching, fertilizing, and general plant care Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters Assist with planting, landscape installation, and seasonal maintenance Support irrigation and sprinkler system operation and minor repairs Remove debris, leaves, and litter from grounds and walkways Assist with seasonal services such as storm cleanup and inclement weather response Follow safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or property damage to supervisors Other Duties: Winter weather snow and ice removal Service and maintenance all used equipment including trucks and trailers and landscaping equipment Load and apply mulch as needed Painting offices or other facilities Painting facilities Fence repair Pressure washing Drywall Replacing ceiling tiles Recycling light bulbs Moving furniture Plumbing repair Basic electrical repair Demolition Storage assembly Animal removal Storm debris removal Install and remove flooring Trash removal Some tree removal Property line maintenance Event setup / campus equipment Assist contractors Water plants during inclement weather Installing Sod Turf removal Land clearing Changing LED lights On call 24 hours Roof cleanup Emergency calls Requirements: Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred Ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Reliable attendance and strong work ethic 21years of age or more Maintain a valid driver's license and complete dot physicals annually Pulling and backing 18-foot trailers and dump trailers Pay Rate: $18.49 Work Shift 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
