Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)

Immediate Need : Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED), 8‑week contract, Atlanta, GA (Onsite). Pay : $50/hr – $55/hr. Schedule : Night shifts, 36 hours per week. Duration : 2 months (06/15/2026 – 08/08/2026). Key Responsibilities Perform rapid triage and comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with emergent conditions across the lifespan (adults and pediatrics). Administer medications, initiate IVs, manage wounds, and assist with procedures as needed. Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and neurological status; respond promptly to changes. Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff for seamless patient flow. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR (EPIC). Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and follow‑up care. Adhere to infection control, safety, and ED best practices. Participate in trauma activations and emergency response as part of the care team. Key Requirements & Qualifications Active RN license in GA or Compact State. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC and/or ENPC certifications preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience caring for adult and pediatric patients in an emergency setting. Experience in a large facility, Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred. Ability to work night shifts; 36 hours guaranteed per week. Excellent rapid assessment and triage decision‑making skills. Proficiency in emergency procedures, IV therapy, and resuscitation protocols. Strong communication and teamwork under pressure. Compassionate, patient‑first mindset even in crisis situations. Ability to handle high acuity, high volume, and fast patient turnover. Adaptability to adult and pediatric populations.
