This position will lead a variety of system design and development efforts across a series of new programs within our organization. The Systems Engineer will tackle complex technical challenges and provide expert-level analysis and judgment in support of critical defense programs.Responsibilities:Performs a variety of design and development of integrated avionics and communications systems.Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.Must be able to defend work and design approach following a variety of the Systems Engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.Relies on applicable experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Works to place planning and reflection cadences into use across multiple project teams with the goal of synchronizing team members and activities.Strives to increase the efficiency of development practices by guiding the flow, architecture, design quality, code quality, system quality, and release quality of deliverables.Familiar with a variety of the Systems Engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.Mentor junior engineering candidates in Systems Engineering best practices.
