US ANALYST PROGRAM
The US Analyst program offers an opportunity for recent college graduates interested in finance and corporate/investment banking to actively participate in this fast-paced and challenging industry. The standard analyst program lasts two years, with analysts hired on an initial one-year contract. At the end of the two-year period, top candidates are developed into Full‑Time Associate positions. We provide our analysts with the tools necessary for professional growth and career advancement.ROLE SUMMARY
Analyze and recommend counterparty credit exposures proposed by business units in the Americas. Assigned to the Power and New Energy Healthcare team within Counterparty Risk Analysis, with flexibility to support other projects as needed.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review credit requests from Front Office for completeness; interface with originators to obtain additional documents, projections, industry data, or other required information. Write comprehensive credit analyses evaluating the borrower's industry, competitive position, financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow), projections, transaction structure, exposure size, risks, and mitigants. Review and recommend borrower credit ratings using the bank's internal rating model. Collaborate with the Sector Head to determine final recommendations for Senior Management and the Credit Committee. Manage file completion under the supervision of the Senior Credit Analyst and Sector Head to meet deadlines. Verify data inputs (risk ratings, profitability assumptions) in databases and resolve issues with commercial units. Monitor risk in the assigned portfolio and prepare quarterly reports on sensitive names. Support ad hoc portfolio or counterparty research requests.KEY CONTACTS
