divh2Safety Specialist/h2pReports to: Safety Manager/ppFLSA Status: Exempt/ppHours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise dictated; 45 - 50 hours per week; in-person/ppJob Location: 3500 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207; various job sites as assigned/ppGeneral Overview: The Safety Specialist supports efforts to provide a safe workplace for Company employees and subcontractors. They also help ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, as well as the safety rules and requirements of the Companys clients. This role is responsible for operating the Company Incident Line and representing the Company in the event of an OSHA inspection. This person should consistently demonstrate integrity, gratitude, excellence, and leadership./ppResponsibilities:/pulliAttends internal and external meetings/liliPerforms regular jobsite safety audits and completes any necessary remediation within 48 hours of identifying a hazard/liliManages owner/CM-specific paperwork onsite and ensures compliance with timely submission/liliRepresents the Company in the event of an OSHA inspection/liliAttends morning huddles and provides constructive feedback, including incident follow-up for the project/liliAttends onsite safety meetings as required/liliOperates the Company Incident Line, as required/liliPerforms all safety compliance-related training/liliAddresses safety hazards as they occur, working with onsite crews to implement necessary modifications for compliance and safe practices/liliIdentifies respirator needs and ensures compliance with medical evaluations and annual fit testing/liliIdentifies opportunities to collect industrial hygiene data and coordinates with third-party providers/liliIs familiar with and educates employees on the use of the Company safety forms/liliManages risk/liliInvestigate equipment and auto accidents/liliAssists in the enrollment of subcontractors to the appropriate wrap-up insurance administrators/liliProvides initial responder care for injured workers and subcontractors on-site/liliMaintains communication with injured workers and the company to support a safe return to work/liliMaintains adequate onsite supplies for field personnel/liliCollaborates with Field Leadership to support safety efforts and assist with on-site management as needed/liliMaintains all certifications required for jobsite approval as a site-safety professional/liliAssists with project-specific orientation as needed/liliKnows and adheres to all company policies and procedures/li/ulpThis list is non-exhaustive.
