This role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to guide development teams, ensure high-quality code delivery, and drive architectural decisions. The selected candidate will design and implement comprehensive solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security practices, and approved technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of complex software components supporting modernization workflows.Provide hands-on technical expertise in Java technologies, database design, and microservices architecture.Guide, mentor, and support junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.Oversee code quality, enforce development best practices, and ensure adherence to architectural standards, security principles, and modern software development life cycle methodologies.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, testers, architects, and project managers, to deliver solutions on schedule.Conduct technical reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive resolution of production and integration challenges.Contribute to project estimation, technical planning, and roadmap development by providing accurate assessments and technical insights.Drive the adoption of modern development practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.Ensure application performance, reliability, and security through proactive monitoring, optimization, and adherence to security best practices.Document technical designs, architecture decisions, and implementation details to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.Required QualificationsEducation: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field of study is required.Experience: Candidates must possess at least eight years of hands-on experience in software development, along with a minimum of three years of experience leading software development teams. Proven experience guiding and mentoring junior and mid-level developers is essential.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Java-based technologies and frameworks is required. Candidates must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of software design patterns, a deep understanding of relational and document databases, and strong skills with Structured Query Language. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, agile methodologies, and software security principles is necessary.Preferred QualificationsTwelve or more years of hands-on experience in software development and design, with over seven years of experience leading development teams.A master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.Demonstrated proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies, with proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.Relevant professional certifications in development technologies or agile methodologies.Familiarity with modern development and operations tools, continuous delivery practices, and NoSQL databases.In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and a proactive approach to integrating security measures into the development process.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
