Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in step-down/telemetry units to provide excellent patient care in an adult and geriatric population. You will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for step-down and telemetry patients with a focus on their needs and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EMR systems (Paragon and Pyxis).
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure effective monitoring of vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans and facilitate interventions.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1-2 years of step-down or telemetry nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Active RN license required.
