• Experience: 3 5 years Hematology/Oncology experience, high-volume practice experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: $105,000 $115,000 annually
• Pay Package: Reflects permanent rate for locum-to-perm transition

What You ll Do

• Manage and follow a full panel of oncology patients, including treatment visits and follow-ups
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, including NPs and physicians
• Assess patient needs, monitor treatment progress, and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and symptom management
• Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
• Support complex cases with co-morbidities, ensuring comprehensive patient care
• Collaborate with staff during clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow

What You Need
Required:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana
• 3 5 years Hematology/Oncology NP experience
• Strong understanding of oncology treatments, patient management, and care coordination
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Oncology certification (OCN)
• Experience with infusion clinics and complex patient panels

About the Assignment
This full-time outpatient oncology role is based in a well-staffed, high-volume clinic within a leading healthcare facility in Lafayette. You will work closely with physicians, NPs, and support staff to deliver outstanding care to patients undergoing complex cancer treatments. No inpatient rounding required. The clinic features a dedicated infusion suite with 16 chairs, providing a comprehensive outpatient treatment environment.
