Details Short term acute care hospital setting within the Cath Lab department 180 staffed beds Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures Adult and geriatric patient population Procedures include cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy Responsibilities include equipment set up, scrubbing and maintaining sterile field, room circulating, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias Uses EPIC charting system Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Call requirement determined on a case-by-case basis per unit needs Weekend requirements to be discussed with the manager Will float within scope to sister facilities within a 20 mile radius Requirements Minimum of 18 months of recent experience in Cath Lab specialty, preferably within the last 3 years Experience in two of the following four modalities required: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro Current ACLS and BLS certification required ARRT-R and CCI RCIS certification required RCVT certification preferred License required if applicable No pending licenses or certifications accepted EPIC charting experience required Skilled in infection control, isolation precautions/PPE, and sterile technique Must be able to work with middle adult and older adult patient populations Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test required COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this position Locals accepted at the same bill rate All RTO must be submitted and approved prior to starting the assignment Travelers are expected to work every other holiday Scrub color is Ceil Blue EKG and Pharmacology testing required during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts and no remediation Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly once the assignment is confirmed Strict no call-in policy in effect Facility is smoke free with no exceptions Permanent and per diem staff cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date American Traveler Job ID P-735077.
