A respected local company is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician in Morgantown, WV for a full-time, day shift opportunity. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, electrical controls, sensors, wiring, and automation equipment .


The Electrical Controls Technician will install, maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical control systems while working closely with engineering and operations teams. If you have experience with PLCs, electrical schematics, control panels, industrial equipment, or electrical troubleshooting , we want to hear from you.

Electrical Controls Technician Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems .
  • Diagnose electrical, controls, and PLC-related issues .
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot control panels, wiring, sensors, switches, and industrial electrical components.
  • Identify electrical problems and complete necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Work safely and efficiently in an industrial environment.
  • Follow electrical safety procedures and company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
Electrical Controls Technician Qualifications

  • Previous experience with electrical controls or industrial electrical systems required .
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, control panels, and industrial electrical components .
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
  • Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and a strong work ethic.
