Machine Operator

Join a family-owned company where you will play a crucial role as a Machine Operator. You will operate CNC lathes, interpret work orders, and contribute to the manufacturing process by ensuring the precision and quality of machined parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC Lathe effectively and efficiently.
• Interpret work orders and punch in for each job, maintaining tags for each step in the process.
• Bend into large tubs to select parts for machining and do the same when parts are finished.
• Develop the ability to make personal adjustments to parts as necessary.
• Grind parts to smooth down flare after machining.
• Check the quality of parts between cycles to ensure excellence.

Essential Skills

• Ability to interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Experience with quality tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Basic mechanical reasoning skills.
• Strong mechanical inclination and ability to learn adjustments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing/production experience.
• Beneficial to have 6 months to 1 year of machine operating experience.

Work Environment

• Embrace a welcoming environment with two shifts available. The role requires the ability to work overtime, especially during busy periods. 1st and 2nd shift

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
