Key Responsibilities Lead a team of designers and associate engineers in the development of land development construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D . Oversee and manage multiple projects , ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality control . Establish project design criteria while ensuring compliance with local and state regulations. Manage entitlement approvals and the process for obtaining grading and encroachment permits . Manage a variety of land development projects , including: High-density residential developments Shopping centers and retail spaces Auto dealerships and commercial buildings Gas stations and QSR (Quick-Service Restaurant) developments Amusement parks and entertainment venues Team & Client Management: Foster collaboration and mentorship , ensuring team members meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work. Work directly with clients and stakeholders to define project parameters , address concerns, and deliver successful results. Serve as the primary point of contact for agency approvals, permitting processes, and regulatory coordination . Business Development & Financial Planning: Collaborate with firm principals to create accurate and competitive project proposals . Support business development efforts by cultivating strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities. Monitor project budgets , ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and compliance. Required Qualifications & Skills Education & Certification: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. EIT certification preferred ; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus . Experience & Technical Skills: 6+ years of experience in land development and civil engineering. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development design. Proven expertise in project management, entitlement approvals, and permitting processes . Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal land development regulations . Soft Skills & Work Ethic: Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and interact with clients. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to overcome project challenges. Highly organized and detail-oriented , with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project planning and execution .
