The successful candidate must be comfortable and proficient with drawing blood and have experience performing venipuncture in a clinical setting. Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.As a CMA, you'll work closely with providers, nurses, and fellow clinical staff to support the care of infants, children, and adolescents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, enjoys working with families, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together.ScheduleFull -time positionConsistent 4-day workweekOne evening shift per week until 7:00 PMOne weekday off each weekOne weekend shift per monthWhat You'll DoPerform venipuncture and blood collection as a regular and essential part of the positionPrepare patients for blood draws and provide reassurance and age-appropriate support to children and familiesProperly label, handle, process, and prepare blood specimens for testingRoom patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, and other routine measurementsPerform hearing and vision screeningsCollect specimens and assist with point-of-care testingAdminister clinic-approved medicationsAssist providers during examinations and proceduresDocument patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical suppliesSupport laboratory workflows, including specimen processing and test reportingMaintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and team members to support exceptional patient careQualificationsCurrent Medical Assistant Certification requiredDemonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture requiredMust be comfortable performing blood draws regularly as a core responsibility of the positionPhlebotomy certification preferred, but not requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentPediatric phlebotomy experience strongly preferredPediatric, primary care, or outpatient clinical experience preferredStrong communication and customer service skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to help children and families feel comfortable during blood draws and other proceduresAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environmentPositive attitude and commitment to providing compassionate careBenefitsCompetitive pay: $20.50–$27.00 per hourHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation timePaid sick time401(k) with employer matchLife insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Stable schedule and excellent work-life balanceSupportive team environment with opportunities for growthWhy Child Health Associates?Our culture is one of our greatest strengths.
