Manufacturing Engineer

Minimum Pay: $46.06/hour | Shift: Day | Job Type: Temporary

Advantage Technical is partnering with a leading global automotive OEM to place a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer in Dearborn, MI. If you're a hands-on quality or manufacturing professional with a sharp eye for supplier performance and a track record in automotive launches, this is a high-impact role on the plant floor that matters.

Job Duties (What You'll Do!):

• Lead APQP and PPAP execution aligned with program timelines
• Serve as the on-site technical lead for troubleshooting, containment, and corrective action
• Drive supplier compliance with quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and supplier leadership
• Conduct manufacturing feasibility assessments to support launch readiness
• Analyze supplier performance data to support sourcing and quality decisions
• Ensure zero production disruptions due to supplier-related issues

Requirements (What You Need to Succeed!):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 3-5+ years in advanced manufacturing or quality within interior commodities (seats, IP, consoles, door panels, headliners, restraints)
• Hands-on experience with stamping, welding, molding, or automated assembly processes
• Proven PPAP, APQP, and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 70%
• Six Sigma or Lean certification a plus; Q1 knowledge preferred
