Material Inspector/Yard Associate

Position Summary The Material Inspector/Yard Associate interacts with customers while inspecting and grading materials delivered to the yard. This role may operate small equipment to help process and prepare materials for shipment. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual who enjoys working with people and providing a positive, face-to-face experience for customers and truck drivers. This position works primarily outdoors, and we are happy to train the right person on our equipment and recycling. Schedule Monday - Saturday (4-Day: Rotating Schedule) 1st Shift 7am - 5:30pm Responsibilities Sort, process and inventory material (Non-Ferrous Metals) by operating shears, balers, loaders and forklifts Assist with purchasing various grades of recyclable materials from customers. Support customers with the unloading of materials. Assist with preparing, packing, and loading materials for shipment. Sort and process materials in accordance with company standards. Operate equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or other machinery as needed Assist with vehicle and appliance processing activities Conduct basic inspections and documentation as required Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with material tracking Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Qualifications Six months’ small equipment experience is preferred Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge Basic computer skills Good interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Accuracy in operation and attention to detail Knowledge in inventory control PADNOS has a rich history of taking care of our Team Members, their families and the multiple communities we serve.
